How I got here…
Between my success in High School and my copywriting career at CSU Long Beach, I attempted to continue my passion for the craft through the University of Iowa's acclaimed creative writing program. There, I learned the fundamentals of storytelling and learning to weave compelling themes, characters, and subtexts into impactful written work.
During my time at Iowa, I worked as an AV technician for University Event Services. What initially seemed like a simple income source evolved into invaluable professional development. This role sharpened my communication skills and taught me the importance of maintaining professionalism under pressure. As well as qualities that now define my approach to client relationships and project management.
Though my tenure at Iowa was brief, the professional skills I developed there became instrumental in completing my studies at CSU Long Beach. Today, I bring this unique combination of creative writing expertise and polished professionalism to every copywriting project, ensuring both compelling content and seamless client experiences.
My experience outside of copywriting…
While immersing myself in copywriting communities and absorbing every piece of knowledge I could find about persuasive writing, I made a strategic decision that would prove invaluable. I leveraged my AV skills to carve out a thriving career in the event production industry. What began as a practical way to pay the bills while developing my copywriting expertise evolved into something much more profound. A masterclass in client relations, project management, and performing under pressure.
This isn’t just a collection of technical jobs. It has been an intensive training ground for skills that make me a uniquely effective copywriter. Managing live events under tight deadlines mirrors the pressure of campaign launches. Troubleshooting AV systems in real-time parallels, the problem-solving required when copy isn't converting. And most importantly, ensuring that every event delivers exactly what clients envisioned has taught me the fundamental copywriting truth. You must understand precisely what your audience expects, then exceed those expectations flawlessly.

While I am a developing copywriter, I build my craft through fresh, creative approaches to storytelling and persuasive writing. My work focuses on blending clarity with personality. Whether it’s creating engaging email sequences, shaping website content, or writing social captions that connect with the right audience. As I continue to grow in the field, I am focused on honing my ability to write copy that not only captures attention but also inspires action. I bring curiosity, adaptability, and a strong desire to help brands communicate authentically while developing my own unique voice in the industry.
