How I Got Here…

At the age of 24, I've spent nearly my entire life in Long Beach, California. This coastal city has been the backdrop for an unbroken love affair with storytelling that spans over a decade. From the moment I could hold a pen, I've been weaving my own narratives, and Long Beach has provided both the setting and inspiration for this creative journey.

My storytelling immersion began in middle school, where I discovered that words could transport readers anywhere. From the bustling Pike to imaginary worlds far beyond the Pacific horizon. Those early years were filled with creative writing assignments that I attacked with unusual enthusiasm, crafting short stories during lunch breaks and filling notebooks with character sketches inspired by other literary works. This lasted through high school, where my storytelling deepened and my craft became more detailed.

The Story So Far…

My path to copywriting didn’t begin until I attended the halls of CSU Long Beach's creative writing program. There, I discovered a fundamental truth that would reshape my career. That being every compelling piece of writing, whether it's a gripping novel, an evocative poem, or a conversion driving product description, hinges on two critical elements. Knowing your audience intimately and weaving a narrative that refuses to let them go.

While the students around me were mastering the intricacies of character development and narrative tension, I was forging the foundational skills that would transform me into a results-driven copywriter. Those late nights crafting short stories taught me to hook readers within the first sentence. Poetry workshops showed me how to distill complex emotions into powerful, concise language. Fiction seminars revealed the art of guiding readers through a carefully orchestrated journey toward an inevitable, satisfying conclusion.

Now, I bring that same storytelling mastery to every project, whether I'm crafting email sequences that build anticipation, writing product descriptions that paint vivid pictures of transformation, or persuading readers into much anticipated buyers. My creative writing foundation gives me an edge that purely technical copywriters often lack. That being the ability to create genuine emotional resonance while maintaining laser focus on the bottom line.

In the copywriting world, converting an ordinary life into something bigger is more possible than most think. And getting readers there? That's where art meets commerce, and where my unique background truly shines.
